Well after hearing all the hub bub about making your own rods, I finally decided to give it a try. I built a turner based on Jim's, but I salvaged a motor from a sewing machine, and with a little help from the machine shop at work and lots of scavenging I finally got it built. (total cost 22.00)Along with a great deal on some supplies and blanks on ebay, I got started tonight on my first rod. progress so far.....
