Thumbs up The quest for the Cup

I know most of you guys are football fans, but the puck drops wednesday on the quest for the hardest earned trophy in the sporting world, the one and only Lord Stanley's Cup!!!!!!!! Contenders in the East are of course the defending Champs Carolina Hurricanes, Buffalo Sabers, Boston Bruins, and I belive that my own favorites the Pittsburgh Penguins are going to be the team to watch this year. In the West Edmonton Oilers, the western confrerence champs last year, look strong, the Mighty Ducks of Anahiem, Calgary Flames, and even Vancouver.

I am looking forward to another great season of thunderous hits, spectacular saves, dazzling dekes, and jaw dropping goals.

LETS GO PENS!!!!!!!!

That is one big cup?,,,is this for figure skating?,,,oh hockey, never heard of it,,,seriuosly, one of my favorite sports and use to play some pick up games when I was younger,,,me and the wife went every weekend to the AHL games in Baltimore, Skipjacks,,,man that was a blast,,,brutal games and when they played Hershey, we never missed a game whether in Baltimore or Hershey,,,We use to go to the caps games,,,some fun, but the last few years havent really kept up with hockey,,,may have to get into it again, great game,,,Oliver, did you hear about a minor league team coming down to Salisbury many years ago,,,I know salisbury was trying several years ago,,,me and the wife were really hoping it was going to happen but I guess it got the axe,,,would have been great if it happened.

I am also excited that Lord Stanley's Cup Quest will begin this week. My whole family are huge Philadelphia Flyers fan's, even though a championship has not graced our hands since the 70's. Go Flyers!!!!

I like the Scott Stevens types. The teams of the heavy hitting defenses. The Bruins are my team of choice in the hockey world. Got the calder cup champs about ten mins from my house. Gotta get out more. Those games were a blast in the old Hershey Arena. Giant center just aint the same for me.

Oliver,

There is no question in my mind that hockey players are the toughest of the bunch!!!!

I have some renewed interest in hockey since the Caps got Alexander O!

Of course Crosby for Pittsburgh is pretty good also! Some fun duels ahead between those two guys.

Have you seen the other rookie center we picked up from Russia, Malkin? dude is seriously sick... with him and Crosby heading up the two top lines the Pens might not be Cup contenders this year but with the strong rookie lineup we have the Cup will find its way back to the Burgh in the near future.
