Default Moving to SC

Well, after months of discussing it and debating it, I think we've made up our minds. Ciara (my girlfriend) and I should be listing our houses in Feb and will move as soon as they sell. We will be looking for a place in Surfside, Garden City or Murrel's Inlet (all just south of Myrtle Beach for those who don't know the area). I will keep everyone informed of the moving plans and hopefully some of you can manage a long weekend to come down and try for some nice sharks......And you can't beat it, I'll be fishing hard from probably march to november...gotta love a nice fishing season that long. I fully intend on buying a boat 25'+ and hitting some of the wrecks, reefs etc down there. Big problem is the 100' line is about 30 miles offshore...makes for a long run......

100' line is 30 nm offshore? or is that the 100 fathom line? If so, that's sweet!!

100' line, not fathom....http://www.dnr.sc.gov/marine/pub/sea...e/reefloc.html Look at the distances and the depths.....its crazy.....29.5nm and you're in 90-95' of water!!!!

25' Mako will get you anywhere you need to go. Nice boat, well built and made to fish.

I'd be wary of the early 90's OMC Evinrudes though....POS.

Look up the hull value of the Mako in the blue book, 'cos a 15 y/o evinrude is worthless IMO. Buy the boat for the hull and plan on repowering.

Here's a good forum for boating:
