3rd Annuall Spring Fling

OK it's time to get ready for the 3rd annual Spring Fling witch will be held Saturday May 10th just south of the Bull Pen on Assateague Island. This has be a great event in years past and this year should be no different.
If you have any questions just post them here and we will try and answer them for you.

Well it looks like I will not be able to make it to the fling this year can't get to mad seems like the guy that set the date for the fling forgot it was Spring Fest weekend in Ocean City. ( Oops brain fart on my part ), so most likely I'll try and get out Friday for a few hours so if anyone is there then I hope to have a chance and hook up with some people....


Just to let all know about a month before the Fling I'll start the " What to bring to the Fling " thread.

I held out on planning our Cub Scout pack's Mother's Day Breakfast as long as I could. I had to make the anouncement on this past Monday night, and I guessed on the 3rd of May , figuring the fling would be the next weekend. That's what I get for figuring. There is still the chance of moving that function to actual Mother's Day weekend, but not much of one.

So, I would like to still come down in the afternoon if I cannot move the breakfast. If I can, then , I will be down earlier. In either case, I will need a ride out to the chosen fling area. I do not think my 4X4 situation is going to be fixed by then. I will gladly man the grill again if someone hauls one out for me to cook on.

I'm open to changing it long as we nail it down soon so everyone can get the date reserved. Just pick the next date that works for Dave and the fish and we'll all do our best to join.

The weekend of the 10th is Mom's Day. Weekend of the 3rd is OC Springfest. Might be hard to get a room if needed. Not to mention any traffic on the beach (max vehicles?). Someone local can elaborate.

I was thinking the last weekend in April. But that might be a Blues event instead of Stripers, who knows....

Last week end of April sounds good to me. Blues fest? I'll be pleased at this point even to catch a skate.

Let's move it , but let's nail it down. Last weekend in April is better than the 3rd , and the 10th is asking for trouble(IMO).
