AMSA & State Park Fishing Derby

AMSA Fishing Derby
June 10, 2006
10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Ages 16 and under
Assateague State Park and Assateague Mobile Sport Fisherman’s Association (AMSA) will be co-sponsoring a fishing derby for kids 16 and under. Members from AMSA will be on hand to instruct participants in proper fishing methods for the surf. Other demonstrations include kite flying, casting for accuracy, surf rescue demonstrations, and nature programs. Lunch will be provided by AMSA. Limited equipment is available, please bring personal equipment if possible. For more information, call (410) 641-2120 ext. 20.

i will be gathering helpers for this event, i am looking for AMSA members that would like to help form 10 - 2 on Saturday. i would love to have other members with kids to help with this event. what we will be doing is baiting up lines for the kids and showing them pointers on casting and the art of surf fishing. it is very rewarding day and i love to participate in it as i have the past 2 years.
