There is some great fishing in the Hudson and the New York gateway Some nice stripers are caught in the shadow of Lady Liberty Visit the The Hudson River Fishermen's Association website

They are having their 5th annual surf fishing tourney on the 28th. I'd like to take a trip up there sometime.

The first striper I saw was caught off my dad's boat somewhere South of Croton point.

I have a cousin who lives in upstate NY. He's been bugging me for year's to get up there for the spring run. Should I make a call?
