Lightbulb Site Information & Rules and Regulations

First of all, I would like to say that I think we have the best Fishing Forum on Delmarva. It was created to bring folks together for socializing, sharing information, posting fishing reports and pictures and getting together in person for some fishing fun.

I have met MANY new friends (some of them I consider very good friends) on this board and I consider that priceless.

We try to have a very laid back style on this site. We don't like to advertise or post banners so the site can bring in a few extra pennies. I don't think having a billboard pop up every time you open a new page is very eye pleasing and I think most people will agree to that. How do we keep our operating costs down without advertising?

We have a subscription based membership program. If you value the site and enjoy it, you may subscribe to the forum and become a site supporter. The cost is only $20 a year.

For that $20, you get a little icon next to your name that looks like this:

And you get your own personalized E-mail address with AtlanticAnglers.com!

Everything else is the same for folks who do not subscribe. I'm not trying to sell extra space for private messages, avatars or other such silliness.
It is just a way for a member to show appreciation for the forum and try to help out.

Okay, enough about that.

There are a few rules I need to enforce to keep this forum the best. This is a family site and my mom visits, so pay attention:
  • No foul language (or offsetting the words to appear as foul language)
    • Administrators and Moderators determine what is offensive. Keep this in mind and please don't take offense.
  • No Pornography or offensive pictures (use common sense)
  • No flaming or bashing of other members. Be courteous and respectful
  • No Hijacking threads. This means stay on topic. Feel free to start a new thread if it leads to it.If
  • If you put a link in your signature please have the linked site put a link to this site. This is great for networking and can help out both sites.
  • If you have a generic fishing question, before posting, please use the search feature and do a quick browse. You might be surprised what you find!
Thank you for your support and understanding and welcome to AtlanticAnglers.com

I think what you have said makes sense and it is a privilege to be a member of this board. Thank you for the opportunity that you have given me to post Harbor Tackle's fishing & bait reports. Also, thank you and your moderators for the time and effort put into this board. Now sign me up to become a site supportor. Beverly

If you use foul language I will issue this:

plus issue a blue card and report you to some of the firends I have made from this site, some of whom are very good friends.

Sorry, no more blue cards with this software. However, I do miss them.

We wil just edit the post and if need be send a PM to the poster if need be.
The Moderators watch for all kinds of stuff and address as need be.
Nothing major, we're all adult enough here to know better, all goes on a case by case.
If the offensive action(s) continue we will confiscate your best rod & reel.
