Margo Pelligreno, a lady from New Jersey, actually paddled a 20’ outrigger kayak from Miami to Maine in 70 days. She did this feat to make folks aware of the problems with man’s pollution of our coastal waters. She states that our ocean has become a dumping ground and the water quality is deteriorating causing harm to fish habitats. She was supported by environmental groups such as Surf Riders and the National Environmental Trust.
