Default 10.23.2006 CBassing

Fish Report 10/23/06

Hi All,
The cbassing this past week was not what we had the week before! Working for 'em this week. There were a few days that we'd have easily limited the boat, but the bluefish up and crashed the party. Rascals.
Pick 'em up - try another spot...
A couple blues around the rail is fun, but it really is a pain in the neck when you can't, absolutely can not, reel up a fish without a blue taking the part you wanted. Wouldn't be so bad if we hooked cbass by the tail and they ate the head! One even took a good sized chunk out of a decent flounder - now that hurt!
Still, they're not everywhere. We can get a mess of cbass for dinner...
Some limits this week - not the whole boat though.
When the weather cooperates, it's nice fishing.
A short report this - working on one of those 'guaranteed to cure insomnia' papers. Just another attempt to get the region's coral beds on the table...
Regards,
Monty
