The anglers on the beach today chose to brave the rain, wind and cold. Their effort is already paying off.

Dan Davis caught a 28 1/8" striper at 11:08 a.m.

Mark Nicol caught a 41" striper at 12:10 p.m.

Various anglers have caught bluefish up to 38" (not an entry fish, but still nice to have something on the other end of your line.)

Should be a bunch more. At least it beats last year already. 38in blue is ginormous.

Mark Nicol caught a 37 1/2" striper at 1:10 p.m.

Everyone needs to be careful out there this afternoon. Strong lines of thunderstorms coming up the coast and tornado watches have already been issued for the entire delmarva area.

Be safe out there and catch some fish!!!
