Default 11/10 TOO EZ - Blue Fin Tuna Report

What you are about to see MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR ALL VIEWERS.

After arriving in Long Neck around 2:30am we crashed HARD and decided NOT to set the Alarm Clock.

Woke up Late around 9am and headed down to the Too Ez and get her ready for the big Event on Sat. It was understood that Josh and I were going to scout out the winning Striper and go Striper Fishing.

After about 2 minutes of discussion - the idea was NIXED and we picked up another Stragler from the board GROSSY and threw him on the TOO EZ for a TUNA TRIP!

Yes... Ladies and Gents a TUNA TRIP in NOV!

Headed out of Indian River around... Oh.... 11:30-12pm and headed for the A Bouy to troll some plastics. Seas were FLAT as glass out there. Had to be around 70 ish with not a WAVE in sight!

Arrived at the A Bouy and worked the area for a little bit. Saw some birds working but, nothing. We decided to troll up to the Lightship.

When we arrived we did not spot the Tuna at first but, it wasn't hard to find. I can not explain to you how much life was out there. Birds were picking and picking and PODS and PODS of Bluefin Tuna breaking the water!

We trolled over, around, beside, left, right, top, bottom, here, there and NOTHING. Not a Bite! Josh decided to cast out a live eel on a spinning rod.... Nothing!

They were feeding what looked like 1" minnows. Very Small.

So... off came the eel and on came a small 2-3" Calcutta lure I got for Striper Fishing. 3 Casts and we were hooked up!!

Here are some shots!

Sam-
You could have handled those seas!

Flat Calm... Not a bump in sight my friend! Awesome day for Nov.

Remember my last report in Oct. when I said I was DONE! I guess I fibbed a little... OOPS!

Ryan, I have a hard time kayaking out bait at night when I can't see anything.. Once I get past the breakers, I start to feel it in the darkness.

Yeah, but a 40' ocean yacht doesn't toss you around as much as a kayak.
