Default NOT RIGHT 10/14 - 10/15

Ok Gents - I will share my LAST Tuna Report of the year with you. I'm done!

---------------------------

Anyway...

It all started with our ritual...

50 pcs of chicken
*** NEW ADDITION *** 40 HOT WINGS!
4 cases of beer
Chips, pretzels, Blah Blah Blah...
12 POUNDS of LASAGNA!
Texas Toast!
Breakfast Sandwhiches!! NICE!!!!

We were well fed on this trip!

Left the dock around 1'ish and headed for the PoorMans.

Flat calm when we left... Well... She started to kick up a bit during our trip out there...

Stopped short on the 40 line and trolled until dark. Trolled up to the tip of the Poor Mans actually without a tuna hit. If I remember correctly - we dropped in and did bail a dolphin.

By this time - it was dark and the wind was kicking... BAD! I'd say the seas at this time were around 4-6.

We set up for the night chunk and did very well In My Opinion. Right when we poped the lights on we had Squid up to the back of the boat and out came the Squid Jig!

I jigged up a bunch of Squid and became known as the SQUID KING (Since we did Zero sea bass fishing this year... I'm NOW the Squid King instead of the SEA BASS KILLER!)

By this time we had 1 on the box already. This was Marty's first Tuna fish.. and I stuck it... If you note where I stuck my Tuna COMPARED TO THE REST OF THE STICKS... If you were on the boat you would know the ENTIRE story... I apprently SUCK at sticking fish.

Ok - So.. We have Squid in the pail and 1 in the box... Maybe by now the wind is howling ... You can hear the wind singing you a song from the outrigger lines.... And in the back ground is... "This is NOAA Weather issuing GALE FORCE WINDS for this Evening..."

Yup! It's gonna be a good one!

Let see... OH! By this time - we have lost 2 people to the CHUM GOD! Yup... Doug and Tom both decided to feed the fish their Breakfast, Lunch and Chicken!!

Doug threw the second fish into the boat. At this time - he was doing well... Drained his system in Phases! LOL!

Next Run off again - shortly after Doug threw his into the box and Tom was up! We actually pulled Tom away from his Very own corner of the boat... He found comfort in the corner of the boat along with doing some praying to the WIND GODS and Sea chummin...

Tom snagged a decent YF around 30'ish pounds.

Now.... I'd say the seas are building to about SOLID 8's w/ a nice ROLLER in there ! I think they were about 10 sec. apart... NICE!

Jigged up some more Squid and saw some needle nose in the back of the boat. Lots of Porpus in the back of the boat feeding and Fighting over the squid piles!

I went to SLEEP around 1:30! This was a Prize within itself!!!!!!!

Tommy and Devon released a nice Blue Shark over night...

I woke up around 4:45 / 5am when Devon was on the last Tuna.

And Early AM Devon threw in the box the last Tuna we got.

First light we drifted to the South Poormans and started to troll. No Tuna bites at all on the troll. Threw a few more Dolphin in the box and eat some more Chicken.

As you can see the seas did lay down alot by Early morning.

11:30 we picked up - By this time we were at the 40 line and covered in WEEDS and said Screw it and headed for the Barn!

All and All...

Great Trip!
Got my ASSSS$ Kicked ! BIG TIME!
The boat smells REALLY REALLY BAD from anything and everything....

My last tuna trip for me this year. I'm done. It must have been 30 'ish out there and the winds and waves certainly did not help.

Again - Great time with everyone! We'll do it next year!

Time for STRIPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Troll

You can see it Kicking up a notch or two here...

Sun Set... Awww.... how sweet

Yes IG-
It is suppose to be in the Head and/or gill plate. If you look at the rest - alot of them were in the meat. But, when you are fighting against Wind and 8 to 10's - You'll just stick it and pray it makes it over the back!!!

It was Rough.

Sam would have been BARFING!
