Default NOT RIGHT 9.9.06

Get out of Jail Card was used in its entirety this weekend!

Crew: NOT RIGHT! - Me, Jim, Andy/Noobie, Ian, Shane/Five4Fighting
Seas: FLAT

We did our ritual and Loaded up with lots and lots of Chicken, Chips, and Beer the night before.

Not Right headed for the Baltimore Canyon early AM around 4:30ish. Again......... I was sound asleep!!! But, thats Ok... But, I stayed up from 6:30am until we returned!

So... Anyway... Headed out to the Baltimore early AM for the HOT SPOT! Same Spot the NOT RIGHT was on 24 hrs ago.

Nothing..... ZIPPO! Lots and Lots of BOATS in the HOT SPOT and weeds! So.... After getting all jammed up on top of everyone (I'm not kidding - There were Hundreds of boats out there) we picked up and headed SOUTH for the POORMANS.

I radioed to the Maverick to let him know we were leaving and eventually met up with the Maverick around 1-1:30

Water looked much better down at the Poormans compared to the Baltimore. The Baltimore had that greyish / brown-silver color to it. Just didn't look like pretty water at all.

Worked the tip of the PoorMans for a little and decided to work the deeper water after being covered up in weed. It was Bad!
Hit the 500 line and found a nice school of Mahi ripping thru and snagged a real nice 8-10 pounder.

Worked this area for a while and called in the Maverick.

We found some nice water along side a Thick weed line. Temp was 77!

I got in real tight to a thick pile of weeds and saw a HUGE HUGE splash and swirl from the weeds. I actually thought it was a school of Mahi but turned out to be a nice Blue Marlin up.

What a pretty sight! This Blue Marlin hit the Teasers 6 x's!! Went from the Port to Stbd and back and forth while Andy played with the teasers Jim pitched him a line. Mr. Blue wanted nothing to do with the little bally we were tossing him... He wanted something bigger!

After about 10 minutes of playing around he soon left... We just didn't have anything he wanted.

Swung around and headed back for the same weed pile and picked some more Mahi out from under.

And... That was basically it! Picked up around 5pm and headed back for the barn.

Here we go:

Look on the Right side of the picture in the wash. I tried to take a picture... but, it was hard to do with everything going on. You can see him on the Right. Awesome stuff!

Here was the Hail Mary at the end... But, nothing.

Thats about it!

Had an AWESOME Day with everyone!

8 Mahi
0 for 1 on Tuna
and Played with a nice sized Blue Marlin.

Even you Sam could have handled this trip.
It was dead flat calm out there on Fri. & Sat.

I had a spot saved for ya........ Next time!

We didn't hang the skunk flag like many people did... Threw some nice Mahi in the boat and had some real intense action behind the boat. I'll Rank this one up in the Top 10 for the year.
