Yaking at night

It would be nice to be able to see that rogue wave that startles ya at night.

I'm talking about the one outside the third sandbar. Man, those things give me the willies. The ones inside aren't as bad, at least you expect them.



One came up under me last night and it felt like a whale surfacing.

Good thing I was already sitting in water.

Yeah, I'm not too sure what to do about them big ole secretive waves. I guess you can pretty much tell by the sounds of the breaking waves how far out they are then just gage it. Last night it was so calm that I wasn't worried about it. Just getting a little sea sick!



The ones I'm worried about are the ones that actually "bump" you... not sure if that was a wave or an animal?

Statistics say there is a better chance of being bitten by a pig than a charky.

It was probably a pig.

It kinda' rose me up and turned me 90 degrees.

There were no real waves around, I was past the third bar.



The "wave" rose me up so fast it made my ears pop.
