Fished AI yesterday morning. Got there at sunup with bunker and peeler...seven miles to my fav hole. Hooked up with and landed a 37" rock on my first cast. Five minutes! Weighed 16 pounds, didnt get a picture on my own camera but there is one at Buck's...stayed until 12, caught a dozen and a half dogs in that time

planning on going out this evening after work lookin for some more fillets, anyone else going to be down there?

I was out there on Friday night, Saturday morning and Saturday night.

My trip got started off by needing over 2 1/2 hours to get to the Bay Bridge! From where I was working it should have taken no more than 45 minutes. A couple of wrecks on the Wilson Bridge. I bailed on that and headed thru town, up the BW parkway and to 50. Thought I was in the clear when I hit another backup. They closed down 50 both ways 4 cars in front of me when a biker had a wreck. They brought in a helicopter to fly him out.

The fishing on Friday night/Saturday morning was not very good for me. I was in the north end of the orv, but I never got comfortable with the water I was fishing. It just didn't seem right to me. Around 1:00 on Saturday afternoon I took a walk with my wife looking for some new water at low tide, I went back to the area I fished last summer. I found much better looking water!

On Saturday evening I went to the new water and had on a shark I believe. It had some size to it, and it chewed thru my leader right behind the wash. I never got a look at it. Anyway when I come back for Memorial Day I will start fishing this new water.

I really wanted to go out Sunday night and give it a go, the clouds were in, wind up, looked fishy when we left around 3:00 to head home. I was going to stay and fish at night then head home this morning but I started getting "the look" from the wife and figured it was not a good idea. :( You guys know that look.

I hope you guys did better than I did this weekend.

Went out today to return to the spot I marked just before dark yesterday,,,got there before daylight and was baraged with three stripers right off the bat,,,41, 42, and a 43, kept the 41 and 42,,,was joined by Sam, just after the barage,,,I thought for sure it would continue, but no luck,,,wish I could stay, perfect spot and am sure a real large would come in with the tide but we were out of bait around 2:30,,,we managed two more, 29 and a 32 just before low tide in the mid afternoon,,,a perfect day,,,still looking for that super sized striper.
