when the biguns are out of the bay I'll come down and show you how to troll em up. By then might hit some charks too though which could get hairy.

I have a Tarpon 160, the old 2 hatch model. I mounted 3 scotty rod holders on it, 2 behind the seat that are straight out to the sides like outriggers and one between my legs that goes straight overhead. Who needs planer boards.

I really think you could kill em trolling out on the other side of the bar, I hope to prove my theory in a couple weeks. $3.00 is too much for a run to AI to fish on a saturday.

I have seen pics of that tarpon 160. 8) Looks like a fishing machine. Its supposed to track well, and cover distances quickly. How does it launch in the surf

Better shot of the fish and the bald guy.

Launches pretty well, need to get up to speed quickly though, I need a better paddle. I'm 230 and a powerlifter so I can bend the blades pretty easy and it takes me a little more to get going. I really enjoy surfing it too, just for fun, never with the rods on it.

Good inspiration - I went kayak fishing only once in NJ- got one 15 inch baby striper. Glad to see some people have better luck
