Luck is the culmination of trial and error eliminations in my case, took a long time to figure out. I couldn't wait to send this pic to all my buddies who have been making fun of my fag kayak! Of couse they think I'm half nuts trolling a kayak in the middle of the power boaters 3 miles out in 80' of water...wait, maybe I am nuts. I still say there is nothing more dangerous then bloody tuna heads on deck in the surf though, it'll make you hop back in quick if you get dumped.

Hope to update the avy on Monday with new pics of giant fish from a small boat! Much better to show your own...had a hard time resizing it though since I'm a computer retard. Took 5 minutes, should have taken 30 secs.

I put in at Matapeake and paddled out to 88 ant the paralleled KI towards bloody. I don't have a FF installed on the yak yet so I just ask powerboaters as they pass how deep we are and try to make note of my surroundings. As best I can tell I was off the west side of gum thickets judging by google earth and how long it took me to paddle back. I have no idea if I was really in 80, I do know it was close though judging by how much line it too to get a chute to the bottom. I had bait jumping in the kayak, when you have that...doesn't matter much where you are, just a matter of time.
