yesterday I heard a rumor in the store that the rockfish were "gone" from the lower rivers. I had not been since last wednesday and was planning on spending the morning on AI today. got the the island around daybreak and fished till noon. skates. no blues. didnt see anyone else catching fish. so after a lack of success i decided to head back to the point and see if the rock were still there, with full knowledge that i needed a serious fishin fix after wastin time at the beach all morning with no pullage.
got to the river at 2:30, left at 4. caught a 27" rock and a 34" rock, saw three others caught. outgoing tide, bloodworm. there still here 8) |
