Default Price increases at AI

Hey, I didn't hear any talk of this but the gate passes and entrance fee's increased on 4/1/08 at AI.

7 day pass is now $15 and yearly pass is now $30

I bought the national annual pass again. It's good for 12 months from the month of purchase. It gets you in all of the national parks.
The price went up though, last year it was $50 and now it's $80.
If you are 65 or over, it's $10. Note: It does NOT open the gate at Assateague.

I figure what the heck, it will still save me some bucks because I hit a lot of the national parks. It can be purchased at the link below and if ordered this week, you SHOULD get it in time for the spring fling.

As long as they are putting that money back into the park I am OK with the increases.

I just hate when I see price increases and the service goes down.

It's been awhile since they have done some of the repairs. They need to fix a few things and I hope the money goes to it. Hopefully they will actually patrol the sand and catch some of the dune runners. The repaving they did must have run out the budget.
I dunno', I thought the intersection was fine the way it was.

Maybe they will keep the bathrooms open later in the year (suuuuure they will), so the fairer sex won't have to use a nasty portable next to the wash house.

I guess my biggest request for monies spent would be to catch the dune runners and general undesirables.

I know they are putting a new huge parking lot in right before the gate.
