Charkbait- where I was at 136th St. was not a bad carry to the water. There is a small parking area and pretty much a level 5 minute walk out. I used my ice fishing sled to put my stuff in to drag out. Give it a try !

Thanks Grossy, I'll drive around a bit and see if I can find something I'm confident fishing based on the weather reports. I think my plan is Sat OC/DE and based on success/skunk or major PITA AI on Sunday when I have more time to fish, Sat I only have about 6 hrs total so even at AI I wouldn't have a ton of time to look around after getting bait. OC will give me about 2 hrs longer fishing time so that increases my odds as much as anything.

fished AI last night, not much to report but a couple doggies in the 30 inch range but still no striper! And even though the wind died down it was freakin cold. I did make a new friend though, he kept bumping into my foot and tryin to run off with my bait knife a few times, but he loved the bunker scraps. Depending on weather I think next mon and tue will be my last trips for this season.
