Fishing reports for November 21 - 27

Nice job Phil! Weird how different things can be in different areas of water- where I fished there were plenty of crabs - and had nothin other than doggies & skates hit the chunks - all of the few "real" hits we had were on heads.

Fished with Trowpa for most of the weekend, he summed it up already. Doggies were out in force! occasional skate and not much else.

We did have a few good hits on Saturday late afternoon. Trowpa almost had his 1st AI striper, but it wasn't meant to be this weekend. Although the blue was a nice consultation prize.

Fished 4 hours on Wed. afternoon, 7 hours on Thurs., 5 hours on Friday with only a skate and no hits. Saturday was beautiful and we fished all day one 20" and one 25" rock no keepers, and three blues 11.5 lbs, 9.5 lbs, and 8.5 lbs, what a fun fight. Had fishing fanatic friends Harry and Anne with us all weekend. All fish were caught on finger mullet, some whole, some heads. Mid O.C. surf. Trying to send pics but I need to resize and can't figure it out.

Fished Assateague 12 mi down, yesterday and through the night last night. Wind outta' the NW at 30 dropping to 12 later in the evening. Skinny water, not rough at all, 8's held easily. Tiny Dogfish nibbles on a Bunker head. Tossed clams and came up with one Doggie on it.
No hits on Bunker.

It was a perfect fall night, bright stars and fishy looking water. Water temps feel about right.

Hey Steve, I went out yesterday but I did not see you, I did not go down that far though, only to about the bullpen. anyway I had caught one 38" doggie and that was about it.

I got there about 2pm and left at 0'Dark thirty, the VA fence was within sight. There wasn't anyone else on the island when I left and only maybe 3 vehicles when I got there. Nobody near the BP.

Steve, I was only there for around 5 hours or so then I started coming down with the flu so I called it early and went home to get meds. I think i got there around 4ish and left around 9. I thought I saw your truck pass me but I wasnt sure with it being dark and all. Hey if your in the area on tuesday I will be out again. just drop me a pm if your going to be out.
