I feel your pain as well...but i'll never give up. I live about three hours away....ands have yet to catch a rock in the surf......and have been doing it about three years about 6 times a year....so my time on the water is limited, and its frustrating, but its in my blood. But the beauty is...tomorrow you could catch a 40+ incher...that'll keep you goin for the next year!
Critter Gitter...didn't you catch a 47" last year at the fall fling....when nobody was catchin' squat?? You got it goin on.
Anyway, I though it was funny, I couldn't sleep this a.m., ao I checked this web-site, and at 5:40 on Thanksgiving morning, there are "3 viewing" the Maryland inshore forum. Were all sick!

its a good day when you get mistaken for critter gitter.

Coop mostly throws an off the ground cast from what I've seen and that looks to be one as well. The length of the drop will get you some distance but the longer you go the tougher it is to control it.

TRIMLC - I'm in the same boat - been fishin for them for 3 years in MD now - about 10 times a year solely for stripers...not a single one yet! Went to NJ last summer and caught 2 rock from the surf my first 2 days...go figure. MD Rock don't like me!

But I'll never give up - when I get that first AI Rock - it will be the sweetest victory ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Feel free to post your reports here, fish or no fish.

The fish are to the north. There are numerous reports on other sites of large stripers up to 48" being caught all along the Delaware beaches. I was in a tackle shop today, and saw pics of a group of 4 guys who had 8 fish all over 40". These fish were all caught along the state park beaches. I have gotten two keepers in the last two trips, and seen numerous other people getting them too. I had never even seen a keeper striper taken by anybody from a Delaware beach before this fall.
