Well I was in the tournament so you know how that went....Thanks for the lift Scott!!!!! I enjoyed chatting with you guys fish or no fish. I am not liking that business of throwing heads and 10's Anyway maybe next year a few stripers will show for the tournament.


I will be out again early next week till Thanksgiving weekend and give it another go! My mind started working while I was out there and I have a new rig to tie up and try out.

Looks to be another frigid NW/W weekend. Can't buy a break for us weekenders. Might just hunt rest of the year. Man did it get cold Sat night or what? You guys did the right thing leaving the beach.

CG, your right...that NW wind was driving me nuts...i thought someone would catch a fish when the wind shifted to to east that last hour.
i'm glad you said something about the cold ...i thought i was just being a wuss...dad left the beach around 8pm, i stayed and kept fishing until about midnight then i bailed and got in the truck and cranked up the heat for a couple hrs.

fished on AI from around 5 pm on friday till late sunday night all i could muster was a few skate small sharks and blues. one of the blues was about 18 inches and alot of fun to real in i thought i had some stripes but it was just teeth, lol...

Fished the beach about 4 hours on Sun with not so much as a nibble.My wife and little fishing buddy thought it was too cold.

Hello all,
I fished saterday (not in tournament) fished from 12noon till 5:00, about a mile from the line caught one 15" flounder no other bites. Just enjoyed the fire and relaxed.

So the west wind is no good? I am planning on fishing this weekend. The wind is supposed to be off shore and cold.

Fished the rain and wind today just a few skates to show for it. Hope it gets better in the next week or two. Now I'm going to get warm and kick back the rest of the night. Good luck to anyone going out this weekend.
