That is the best one I have found for tying braid to mono and its the one power pro recommends. Pretty easy once you get the hang of it.

I have all my surf gear and la reels lined w/ 20lb pp and have been using it w/ no problems for the past 2yrs. Have landed several 35"+ stripers and a 49"+ drum last year w/ out any problem. No breakoffs, no lost fish and happily satisfied. Yes it can be expensive but I've never paid more than $80 for a 1500yd spool and it lasts a good while... We'll see how it holds up for my drum trip in a few weeks... just my .02c

I am too cheap to use fluorocarbon, but I never had any hint of it eating my mono.
I don't really think I need the super glue, but its cheap and gives me some piece of mind.

Braid is slicker, this COULD be the reason for some folks having bad results. Braid to mono calls for uni-uni. You could use an improved clinch on the mono, whatever works best for you. Some even melt a ball on the end of the mono/flouro.
Here is an excellent page on tying the uni for various purposes: http://www.in-fisherman.com/magazine...003Sp_Uniknot/
