Great pics. That last pic is real nice. No effects on that shot with a photo editor?

Default AI 7/13-16

hey everybody, spent the last four days on the beach at AI poundin the suds seeing what the deal is down there. Armed myself with all of the best bait i could find on the lower eastern shore, determined to catch somethin decent. friday saw a lot of people on the beach catchin a lot of nothing, so i headed to my fav spot and was happy to find it with nothing but some tire tracks around it. weather was nice and the surf was easy, so i tried three rods constantly switchin bait between peelers, fishbites in clam and crab, and fresh cut bait. immediately got into an afternoon run of nice kings during which i released about a dozen of them--most preferred the fishbites! next time i would definitely have bloodworms with me
so i fished on into the evening, had a group of snapper blues set in on me for about an hour, caught about seven or eight of them. it was just about time for me to get back up the beach (planning on going out in OC that night) when i got a few soft taps on my heaver...picked up the rod and immediately felt a fish swimming with the bait, so i set the hook hard and held on for a long powerful run which really got my heart poundin...fought the fish for ten minutes til he was in the wash...big black drum, probably 35-40 inches , as soon as i saw him the size 1 gamakatsu popped out of his mouth and he was gone oh well still a fun fight

spent saturday and sunday on the beach trying to hook into another black but struggled both days, two skate saturday and a few kings late sunday was all i could manage

yesterday i hit the sand at about 2 and fished until dark. this time all i brought were two dozen bloodworms and some bunker. the king bite really got going at about 4 and continued til 6. had two of my friends with me who were thrilled with the constant action (both caught their first fish!...the girls were naturals ). the kings wanted the bloodworm. it seems like when you really get them riled up eatin the bloods, you could toss some fishbites in and get nailed, but without that bloodworm teaser, bites on the fake stuff were few and far between...anyone else experienced this? anyway we released about 20 and headed home, wrappin up a great long weekend. ill be back on the beach sometime this week and will offer a full report later! this time ill take the digital cam which was convieniently left in my bedroom this weekend

I'm not sure. I just did a google search for "ray recipes". You would be surprised how many "Rachele Ray recipes" came up!
