Default garcia 7000 repair

Does anyone know how to repair a abu garcia 7000 series ambassador reel, mine decided to crap out the other day, it does not lock when the reel is turned over just spools out all the time. any help would be great, I opened it up and could not see anything obviously wrong. I really like this reel and would like to get it up and running again. thanks ahead of time.

Default ....7000c...

...if it is cranking backwards as well as forward, check the collar where the handle goes through the side plate and make sure it is positioned properly, not loose, etc...

Default ...also, a couple more thoughts...

....if it doesn't crank backwards, and it still appears to be in free spool, the drag may need some work...or the spindle is not engaging with the drive mechanism...

Look to see if ther is one or two springs down in the guts if one sliped off it can but you on free spool, I have had this happen on other reels. try looking here for the part list. http://www.abugarcia.com/product_sch...=Search+%3E%3E
that way you might see what is missing.. Good luck.
