Default wild night

Went out to dinner out side of Annapolis last night and got a call from my buddies . Heading down to Kent Narrows to catch the out going tide. ....Come on down Driving home with the family and its 10 pm and I'm thinking about just bagging the whole thing when I get a call to bring a first aid kit when I show up. There are 3 of them on my Buddies boat and hes fly fishing and ends up putting a hook thru his wrist....had to push it all the way thru to get the barb out. So hes not 100% for the night . SO we head out to fish and all we catch are little rockies and Alewifes....fist time ever I seen them hit a fly. So we put this beauty of a small Alewife on and fish with him for a good 2 hours and no takers. All kinds of big fish on the depth finder but no takers. At some point he works himself free of the hook. So we switched back to casting. So the nights growing long and we are about to pack it up when I get a hit . I yank back on the rod and I see this small fish jump up out of the water and the jig comes flying out of his mouth at warp speed and hits my friend smack in the eye. Talk about freeeekin bad luck. I thought I blinded him(first time this guys been out with us and to boot he's a Doc). Hes holding on to his eye (thank god the hook didn't go into his eye just hit it and bounced off) and bloods coming out the side.

Well we beet feet in and by the time we get back to the boat basin he's feeling a bit better. It didn't puncture anything but gave him a blood blister on his eye lid and a small cut on the side of his eye. SO no 1 am. run to the hospital was avoided. Think I'm going to take it easy for the next few night

He had a few small one but that was it. he went to a EYe Doc today and said he had some bleeding in the retina but that it should heal. If you fish with me you must fill out a disclaimer form (my lawyer said so). Here is the newest thing that kids are trying today....they should just fish with me

Remember, a warning before that type of picture is good.
(hint-hint)
I won't mention who has the queasy stomach around here...
Hahahaha

But, on a side note:
Tie a rope around her waist, a little cut on the wrist and have her do the back stroke out at night.

We'll find that BIG toothy critter yet!
