Default Fishing reports for May 29 - June 4

The striper migration is in full swing. Last week produced some nice stripers in the surf and hopefully this coming week will be just as good.

So get your feet in the sand and go fish!

This afternoon and early evening. I managed a nice trifecta today from the surf...Zilch, nadda, and nothing. Fortunately, I was able to see one. I was fishing with this guy who knows how to catch.

Another nice evening on the beach. Tonight Coop, Oliver, Oma joined me for some more bait soaking. A few small sandbars are starting to make a showing and I hope it is a sign of a good sharking summer!

Plenty of doggies and skates as usual and one 19" bluefish. Oh, and this guy. If I didn't have so much work tomorrow, I'd still be out there. Dave and Tonya, Carrie says hi. Sure would like to know what spooled ya.

glad to here you got another one sam, also tell carrie hello. I fished from 3 till just shy of midnight, caught two baby sandbars on 17 inch blue and a few skate and doggies. Just before I left I was packing up the truck and seen my pole on the far end slam down, ran over to it and it was limp, nothing, tightened up the line and watched a few more minutes and nothing so i went back to what i was doing before, then I went to bring it in being I did not see it move again and my line was totally slack, kept reeling and reeling wondering why it was so slack come to find out something spooled me and cut threw the line. I have no idea what had done it, I did not see the rod move after that first hit and I tightened the line. I sure would like to know what did it.

Yup, saw a picture of a small sand tiger caught on AI last night. Can't remember where... maybe SOL?

Either way, they are here for another four months!

Nice going Sam. Gettin some good eats. Water gonna be all mucked again on these winds tomorrow so not sure where to fish. Would rather not hook up on a large Sandtiger yet. Not in the shark mood-too early and tackle too light. Seeing Allens large Black on a bunker head?? just south of us makes you think you just never know what you'll hook into this time of year.

Since Dave brought this up, here is a picture of Allen's Black Drum. Very big boy!

And here is a pic of the sand tiger. Just a pup yet.
