Question AI State Park Area

We are planning to be down next week from monday 28th to friday 1st. We have a camp site reserved in the state park Loop H site 7. I was wondering I only see chatter on the board about AI federal & south. Does anybody fish the state park and north. When we fish the Federal we'll be by the walk over so if yu see my rigs stop by and say hello. The truck will have a black cap on it.

Erbby,

I have caught keeper stripers from the north ocean lot and the south ocean lot. Just head over the dune and look for the best spot you can find. You can catch fish there.

Thanks guys I've camped and fished this area several times and have yet to catch anything. I once walked half way to OC plugging the surf along the way and got skunked. I just might try it again next week.

Erbby,

Are there any large trailers in the park? I have a 33' 5th wheel and we stay in Berlin, I was wondering if I could get my rig into the state park?

Absolutely no problem Loop H is the only loop with electric 30 Amp. hook ups the main reason we go to the State instead of the federal is the state park has hot showers Federal only has cold

We tried the Oceanic pier Wed. night saw a couple of small fluke get reeled in, & cocktail blues were all over the place. Fished the walkover area Thurs sand sharks again.

How crowded was the rest of the park?
The reservation web-site doesn't seem to work (again) and I get jambed up here during the week and forget to call.....

I imagine H was full....

I heard they were talking about making I and/or J electric as well, see anything happening? Sometimes it's nice to run the air all night, esp w/the kids......

The park was maybe 1/3 occupied plenty of empty sites in H. We are early in the season schools not out yet. Couldn't say about I & J. They are doing something cause there was a big track-hoe and dozer in G loop. Federal park is doing drainage.
AC at night ?? I slept in sweats and the bride had on sweats and 2 blankets one was wool

Thanks....

If the a/c isn't needed sometimes we run the fan (runs through the same ducts), it keeps the baby happy when sleeping.....all three have slept well (when at my youngests present stage) in close quarters by doing that when we needed to.....happy baby the next day makes everything a little easier imho......

Guys,

Can you get fresh water at the state park? Is there a dump station there?
