Default Fishing reports for May 22 - 28

We should be in the prime spring run for stripers. There a few showing and a few flounder in the back bays. The beachfront and back bays have also had a good showing of blues.

I hope everyone has a good memorial weekend. If you get the chance this weekend, hit the waters and go fish!

Default Nice Day for fishing..

Lines in the water at 11:45. Nice south east wind, moving tide. Had 2 nice hits.... caught one small blue fish..... If you caught every time we would call it catching instead of fishing.

Fished from 4 pm until sunset with dad. Lots of doggies and a few skates. I got schooled by my pop today...he managed a nice 45"er, his first beach caught striper.

Late report....
Got one 32" Blue on bunker with the outgoing tide. He was right behind the surf break. Something kept cleaning off the clams, never saw 'em. Two clear nose also.
Just before dark Sam showed up, and his buddy Matt who used to beat him up in school.

Fished AI today. Not a banner day for me but there are some big stripers around. I only managed one blue, one shark and a skate. However, I fished mostly both sides of the low tide. I would like to have been there this evening at high or better yet, daybreak tomorrow and fish thru high to the outgoing. We got a late start today and were driving down the beach around 9:00 am. I had read yesterday, and had heard, that there were quite a few stripers and blues being caught. Then as we were driving we saw a decent size striper landed, maybe 30in. A half mile later we see a really big striper landed, probably longer than 40". I drive a little futher and figure they're here, the tide has been falling, we better get the lines in. You guessed it, nary a striper was caught all day. Fish finder rigs and bunker chunks. I think the ticket would be getting out there tomorrow morning by 6:00 assuming the beach isn't already closed. The campers were streaming in big time. These guys cruised by. Gave a pretty cool show.
