Default White Perch Fishing

Dad, Samantha, Carrie and I went searching for perch this morning. There was a lot of fish activity on the top of the water, but I'm not sure what they were or what they were after. We found a few pieces of whole corn on the ground and dad put on on a hook just to see if there were any carp around. Well, there was! He pulled in a 32" FAT, golden carp. I wish I could have got my camera out fast enough, but the line broke while trying to get him unhooked and he flopped back into the water.

We did manage a few other fish and found several perch in shallow water. Let most of them go to finish their spawning. :loveit:

No, that is Ayres Creek. Samantha didn't get any pullage. She lost interest soon after we landed a feisty crab. :-)

You will have a hard time finding a place to get a boat in the water. Most of it is about 1-3' deep. I used to yak all over the place.

Some very secluded spots I'm gonna try.
