Default sw license poll

i have no problem with a saltwater license, but was wondering why so many people do. why should the freshwater guys bear all the burden? the fees go to the dnr for enforcement and such, whats your opinion?

This is just another tax disguised as a service fee. The freshwater license money is used for stocking and such.....if it's used for DNR, it shouldn't be. DNR should be funded through enforcement (fines). Saltwater fisherman already put millions into the economy just by coming to the beach to fish and the state gets the sales tax on tackle, bait, food, beer, etc.

We already Pay a fee to fish Salt in the bay and its tributaries. I have no objections to an "ocean" license. Here's the way I look at it....I'm gonna fish...I already buy licenses, what is another 17.50 gonna cost me in the big picture....Nothing. Due to the proximity of beaches though, I believe they should take it easy on non-residents, or have reciprocal licenses between the states (just like the bay)

they could have the 1 week non res like the other license.

md should actually just expand the bay license to cover all salt, and maybe bump the fee a couple of bucks

1 week non res license is fine for tourists....but I'd spend a fortune if I had to buy one everytime I go out for a weekend....

This has been discussed and discussed again, and I think it sucks. Quit pointing your finger at my wallet for things you may want to happen, that may or may not even happen at all ....
