My father and I fished
AI today but just barely. We stopped at Bucks on the way and I ask the nice lady, "do ya have any fresh" and she gives me this look and I instantly know this isn't going to be a good answer. She say's "yeah but I gotta be honest with you ,
AI just called and the ORV section is closed until 12:00" Trying to act mature in front of my father I say, "no problem, we'll just walk over" while under my breath I'm

and thinking to myself this is

. I mean, the ORV area has been closed and has reopened so what's it doing closed again? Anyway we drive on down and well before the ORV section we see a road block with a lady and a sign. We say "how long you closed?" and she says she doesn't know. So we follow the cones and it leads us the wrong way on a one way road in the campground. Good thing it's not crowded yet. We see another person with a sign and we say how long you closed and he says "all day cause they ain't even started yet" All day? this is

. But did you say they haven't started yet? That's all I needed to hear. We go back to the first person with the sign and I say "the other guy said they haven't started yet, can we go around this roadblock and see if we can get thru?" She says "okay but I didn't tell you you could." Big machinery in the road but after "shucking and jiving" around alot of people, and fortunately no rangers we hit the sand and it was like a jailbreak .Didn't even let the air down, just tried to disappear asap

. My father just kept saying "I think you could get in trouble for this".
So when we come off the beach there is some sealer or tar on the pavement around the right side of the air pumps. That's it. Appears most of the work they did was in the campground. If that's the case, why couldn't they work the traffic thru like they do on the highway? Or, better yet, why not allow a temporary ramp further north to access the beach? Doesn't seem like much thought went into accomodating the beach goers. Just shut it down

.
Okay, enough of the rant. Just make sure you call before you go so you don't get shut out.
