Fished Sat. hoping to get into some of those reported blues. Nada. I felt some bites but nothing hooked up. Nice to have spring here though. Pat

Today from the beach...skate...bait hit the water, skate. Switched to 16/0 hooks and head. Skates didnt get hooked with those hooks but they would grab and pull constantly. Pretty comical after a while. Skates even ate the clam. They were everywhere. They were so thick I snagged a mess on the wings. If there was a striper or black around, they probably never saw the bait with the carpet of skate covering the sea floor. They were so bad, I left...Gotta love skate!

ya know even if they aren't getting hooked on the heads they are laying on it sucking away totally covering your bait up...bastages!
