Sounds like a great time on the beach. Wish I was out there with ya guys. Looks like skates are really starting to make a showing,,,time for big baits and big hooks.

Steve, I tried the doggies and was pleasantly suprised. Skates are next on my list and will use that recipe. I hope they are as good as the doggies.

Fished today and blew up over a miles worth of line, rigs lost, weights gone. Not a good day for equipment. Used radio shack magnets in my new avets and they are just not as strong as the ones I get from KJ. Had to tighten the knob as close to the spool and still was on the verge of disaster every cast. Thumbed it at times just to try to keep it under control and sometimes that didn't help. No problems when I switched out the knobs from the other Avets. After typing this, going to order magnets from KJ.

Nothing but skates today and one rig that I lost. Water temp 47*.

Sorry I couldn't make it out, Scott. Quit working on the site around 2am Sick as a dog at 3:30 this morning and got up at nine and back to work until now.

Dave, thanks for stopping by the house and looking at my jeep. I got the parts ordered and they should be here this week.
