Default Passing the winter blues away

So, how are you guys passing the long winter? I have been LONGING to go fishing, but the only opportunity I had for tog fishing was cancelled.

In the meantime, I have been taking two different types of martial arts. Tae Kwon Do and Jiu Jitzu. I go four nights a week and usually stay pretty sore. The Computer Repair thing (how I make a livin :nerd: ) keeps my days busy.

I can't wait to get back on the sand. It is such a part of my life. :loveit:

Just finished turning my Living room into a home theater/living room,,,nothing like running wires through the walls with insulation,,,made the screen several times,,,didnt like the first one, kept on building one until I built one I liked,,,beats buying a pricey one ,,,just started enclosing in my rear porch,,,I have got to get that done by the middle of March!,,,then it's time to start fishing

Coop that home theater sounds cool been wanting to do one of them but that's a project after I get my basement finshed off,add a deck on the house....... well the list goes on. Once the weather breakes every thing will be on hold for the fish

Scott, that sounds interesting. How big did you make the screen?

Sam, its 66" by 37",,,diag is about 76",,,its very large for the room,,,I wish I could make it bigger, but sitting distance away from the screen isn't far enough,,,I would love to have a dedicated game/bar/theater room,,,but this will have to do for now,,,I have a much larger screen for outside,,,that way, my kids and their freinds can come over and watch movies outside,,,just hope the skeeters wont be a problem, if so, we will have to do it inside the screened in porch,,,that screen will be 8' wide,,,Awsome watching movies on,,,may never go back to the theater,,,finished everything last week and watch a movie every night . Here are a couple of pics,,,one is a screen shot from Finding Nemo,,,the screen is very lightweight and comes down when not watching a movie or a sporting event,,,I just use my regular tv for everything else,,,the screen hangs on the front of the cabinet like a picture,,,when not in use, it goes behing my wifes dresser,,,has great sound too!,,,love playing ps2 with my son on it.

Scott, i'm having trouble understanding how this works. Is is a front projection or rear? It looks like a great place to watch some UFC! hint hint :-)

Sam, it's a front projector,,,mounted on my rear wall,,,this unit is really suppose to shine with HDTV and dvd's,,,I don't have HD feed yet, so the current broadcast picture is fair at best,,,for some reason, movie channel (hbo, showtime etc,,) picture quality is excellent and would think pay per view should be just as good,,,been watching the olympics on it,,,pretty cool watching downhill,,,I just wish I had HD,,,I guess I need to contact mediacom,,,I just hate to fork more money over to them,,,next ufc, come on over .

Ok. It is kind of deceiving because it looks like a rear projected TV. Awesome man.

Hope to turn these pics into monster 60lb Stripers come May lol. A guy can have dreams can't he? Maybe if my ELAN stock takes off again I can retire and become a local homie.

Cool pic. I have always loved Cardinals. Dave, I'm glad you got a camera. I'm looking forward to seeing some nice fish this year.

Channel and time for Saltwater Sunday?

Are the Walker Cay Cronicals still on?

I met Flip Pallet once when I took a day trip to Walker's.

The guy is nutz!

HOW ABOUT SIGHTSEEING? 8) My inlaw passed along this aerial veiw site. http://local.live.com/ It's like terraserver but more current. For some reason it dose not work on AOL,useing FIREFOX I entered local.live.com and the USmap came up.Then I dclicked onPA and started to zero in on my house.I used the road map to navagate, then the aerial to zoom in,and finally the bird's eye image for close detail WOW I NEED TO CLEAN UP THE YARD! Went up the river to Three Mile Island YIKES! I spent time looking at pools i've installed, was able to determine photos in my area are around Fall of 2003 based on pools I seen in varying stages of constuction.Narrowed it down to week of Thanksgiving, thought I might see myself working.Unfortunetly bird's eye image not available in all areas :( Packed up and headed for the beach. No bird's eye for OC or AI :x Went up the coast, seen Cape May,OC NJ, and Alantic City :| I took a tour of NewYork, seen Ground Zero,Miss Liberty, and the Empire State building. All in all a fun filled day.As you can tell I have a bad case of cabin fever and need to get out of the house!
