Default Top & Bottom Rig Tying

Decided to try tying my own top and bottom rigs. A couple are shown below. One has #4 hooks and the other has 1/0. I used 40# mono leader material. For the snap and swivel I used dropper knots/loops. I am curious if there is a better knot to use there? Any other advice on how to tie these things would be greately appreciated.

No, I think most people use a fish finder rig. I'll try to post what I use in a little while. Gotta run.

Default Not for Stripers or Drum

Very nice rigs for them kingfish ect, I have heard from reliable sources that a rig without floats work better. Now that I said that I have never targeted kingfish before just word of mouth.
A rig you can try for just about any species is a high low with the wieght being attached to your snap 2 hooks spaced 2ft apart and then your running line attached to the swivel can use any size hooks and can interchange hook sizes for the species being sought. This rig is used without floats. Saw many nice Stripers and Black drum caught spring last yr on this rig just lofted over the first set of breakers with a clam and bunker combo as bait and #2 to 4 circles were what the anglers were using. Just another suggestion for inquiring minds. BRING ON THE SPRING AM BURIED IN ICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!

Bunker Head..thanks for the compliment. I plan to use these rigs for bluefish, spot and kingfish. For drum and rock I use a variation of this, but with a hurricane or pyramid sinker and a 3"-6" leader.
