Default water pump warranty

Is the water pump considered the power trane?

Yeah I don't think so, it is probably a normal wear and tear item on the engine. Considering they all have a little hole in the bottom that tells you when its about to go (its supposed to start spitting antifreeze out of it) Well at least the old ones did....for the life of me I can't remember the name of that little hole though.....Oh, and I'm not sure how many miles you have, or what model it is, I would consider changing the timing chain/belt while you're in there since alot of models it sits behind the water pump anyhow. Well thats if you're hitting the 100k or so mark....

Just found out it is covered under the powertrane,,,Thank goodness, did not need that bill after Christmas.

I am suprised that it is covered under the powertrain warranty.

Usually they aren't a big problem to change yourself. Only cost 20 bux for a small car and about 40 for a pickup to buy the part. I am not too handy with vehicles but I have changed a few water pumps in the past.
