Got a friend who just called at 11:30 am from the beach at AI orv, 7 nice size blues and 11 of them skates, no stripers yet. Birds working just past the breakers and baitfish everywhere.

Default Conditions ect

I got the call at 11:30 am sat morning the 16th, conversation went: water was off color and clearing up, flat seas, birds and bait working in front.

Friend called back 6:30 pm and he did not have any bites after the tide change in the morning flat and clear seas skates and more skates on the incoming tide all fish caught on outgoing tide this am. Blues for everyone he spoke with and a few shorts 1 34in striper, that he knew of.

If my original post was misleading I apologize, Things on the beach change very quickly and they did change with the tide.

Oh darn, I drove 8 miles and sat on the beach in short sleeves and flip flops..... i had some excitement with the screamer, but at least your post got me off my butt and down to the beach.... and we all know the beach can change in a heartbeat....so keep those mid-day reports coming whenever you can!!!!

Hey All

I fished the walk over with my son for a few hours on Friday and about ten hours on saturday. We caught a dozen or so skates and a few doggies.. Had some big line rippers at the bottom of low tide, but nothing landed. One even ripped the hook off of a hundred pound leader. One day I will catch the one that keeps getting away. Then we will have a feast. Have a great day
