Default BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO

I'm contemplating changing the shoes on my truck and was looking at these tires at BJ's when I replaced my wifes tires over thanksgiving.

One selling point I was interested in is that they offer on and OFF-ROAD assistance for the life of the tire (80,000 mi). I asked the dealer if they would even come get me on the beach, and he said yes.

Does anyone have any experience with these tires? They're kinda pricey, and not my usual brand (I'm a Cooper guy).

Thanks.

My truck had new coopers on it when I bought it, they lasted forever it seemed like, I now have Goodyears and I like them. i like the offroad assistance part of that deal however.... that is a huge selling point.

BF Goodrich A/Ts have always been rated the best in any review I've ever read in an offroad magazine.....they are supposed to be the best all around all terrain tire available. Followed closely by BF Goodrich's M/Ts......I've had them on Jeeps and an Old Isuzu Rodeo.....Love em....good traction and a quiet ride.

I bought the BFG 285 AT's for my mule (F-250 SD).
I also replaced the factory shocks with Bilstein's.
It's like a different truck.

The ride is smoother and the tires are quiet. I have better traction in the rain from a stop light. The aggressive tread looks like a truck should and I know they will handle the snow.
Their footprint is 3 inches wider than the FS's I took off.

Love the tires, would recommend them.
What truck do you have and what size shoes currently?

Steve,

Thanks for the tip. I have a 05 Ranger FX4 with the stock Good Year Wrangler 31X10.5-15 tires on it. I HATE them. They're noisy, and slip in the rain.

Noisy-
So are the Coopers as well.

I recently put a new pair of shoes on a 02 Explorer and I thought I left the tailgate open.

Maybe it was the pair I got but, I wasnt a fan for the AT.

I had Coopers on my Mercedes and loved them. So, go figure.

Good Years are soft and often wear very quick.

BF is Good. Check w/ Sears. Isn;t the Sears brand the EXACT SAME thing as BF because BF makes it for Sears?

I love BJ's!

Go to Tirerack.com and look up the tires you want. This site offers great test results and reviews on just about any tire made.

Tiremax is a great site! Not faulting that site at all.
But..... (there is always a But -right?)
I've found the S&H in Tiremax is about the same when you just walk in and purchase off the shelf.
And some stores won't allow you to just bring in new shoes that were not purchased from them.

Merchant's Tire is offering a "Buy three - Get one more free" at the moment. I think they have some other "special" involved with it now. I heard it on the radio today.
Figures they would 40 days after I bought mine...

When shove comes to push, they're all about the same. There are great deals to be had for having tires shipped to you, IF you have the facilities to mount and balance the tires yourself.
Otherwise, just buy them where you can get 'em mounted.

There are a number of places on ebay, that sell tire/rim packages for very good prices and the usually ship free.

B.F Goodrich radial AT. At Sams club are cheep enough. They also have a free road hazzard on them, my Son had a knife blade through the sidewall on his truck at the beach, they had 7,500 miles on them and Sams club replaced the tire for $2.75. with a new one. I have them on my 2500 Chevy and they did a free rotation and re-balanced them for free and used a torque wrench to put them back on. I also use Sams club tires on my fleet of 6 wheel work trucks they also do all of this service for free on them as well. You can't beat their price and service.
