Smile Fishing reports for November 1 - 7

Considering it's already the beginning of November, things are still very quiet on the beachfront,,,hopefully this week we will start seeing some action.

Fell free to post your reports, fish or no fish.

Default Saturday

I'm heading to AI on Saturday, but I'll be near the entrance of the ORV since I'm not going to be with Oliver. I think he is going to be way down near the VA line. I fished the bridge M, T and Wednesday nights - but without much success. Oliver didn't show up on Monday and I think his mood kept the fish away on Tuesday and Wednesday. I did catch one little striper on Wednesday night and a tiny Hickory shad. Oliver caught a skate on Tuesday, but the real catch this week was the squid he caught on Wednesday night. He laughed so hard and so long he had guys from the other side of the road coming over to see what all the commontion was.

The tides were still very strange on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. I hope things are back to normal tomorrow morning, and I hope some of those big fish decide to travel down our way. I won't be happy until I land a keeper!

WOW! That is crazy.. I can see Oliver now, laughing about catching a squid. Good job on the striper, Oma. You'll get your keeper soon, and you will DESERVE it!

Oceanoma....That is a pretty unusual catch. I'd send that pic to the Coastal Fisherman, I'm sure they would like to print it in the winter edition.

well i finnaly got my first big striper friday night abotu 10 pm on AI. it was a great catch and a great experince. caught on fresh harbor tackle bunker, and my new rod and reel. it measured 46 inch on the beach that night but when i took it to get checked in it was 44 inches what a bummer lost theat much over night in the cold you could tell the fish got smaller and shrunk up a bit. the weight at check in was 35 lbs.
