I'm not familiar with Rockfish migration, so my question is this: At this current pace, is it realistic to think that there is a good chance of Stripers being caught in numbers by this coming weekend on the A.I. beach or are we still weeks off?

from what I have been hearing around the magic number is 65 degrees once we see water temps hit that we should be into the big boys.

Each season is different,,,but your chances will be increasing with each passing day,,,I personally think soaking bait for an extended amount of time next weekend "may" result in a striper next week,,,but I have soaked bait for two long weeks during the prime striper run and came up empty.

Is fresh bunker still available or do you have to go frozen at this point ?

Frozen sucks....I wouldn't even use it if I had to buy frozen....too mushy and falls right off the hook. How come no one has mentioned live eels yet? My biggest stripers from the surf have come from live eels. I always rig one on a fishfinder rig, and then one on a carolina rig and fish that one like an artificial....
