maybe you could have a piece of PVC like 7 feet and bury 3 feet of it in the sand. just use a shovel to dig your hole and place the holder in there and pack the sand back in tight. I dont know. there just has to be something better than a sledge hammer!

Just get some PVC pipe 4 feet, put it a foot down (or when you can lean on it without it falling over) You don't need it too strong if you leave the drag set.
