So whens the next tenative date? I was thinking maybe early August this next year.

Yeah - seemed like it was a bit too early this year....? Seems like we should shoot for the warmest possible water. (BTW Chomper, I cannot believe your'e already starting a thread on this! lol)

seems all you have to do is put a drum rig on, we could do it in late Sept.

Actually the further away from the drum tourney it gets the better for me, don't the the kitchen pass in back to back months often and I'll need at least one prefishing weekend for the drum tourney.

ya never know what the weather will bring man, we could make it a floating 3 weekends and pick the best one!

Thats pretty much it. Gotta watch the water temps. I wanna be geared up this year. Some big stuff, yakked way out there....

I know with the correct gear; extreme leaders, unlimited classs rods, and high capacity reels, someone can land something BIG and rare for this area. Gonna need alot of this too....

Last year we were catching them big time in July... This year we didn't catch many at all... Not the best year for beach sharkin, but we'll see what happens.

I do think we should get to planning as early as possible, remember all the grief they gave us about the permit. The earlier we nail down a date the harder it will be for them to give us crap.

I believe this is correct, You really had us on our toes there for a while, Sam, with the last minute permit requirements and thoughts of not having the fling, but you managed to pull it off and turned out to be a great experience, as for dates, that is anyones guess, but you can definately count me in next year. After I had my first shark I am hooked for life.
