Bev and Terry. DO NOT THROW IN THE TOWEL. Out of the 67 (or however many) entries, how many complained? If all 67 complained, that would be one thing. My guess is that you if you polled everyone that fished, you might get 1 complaint. Shrug it off and move on. There were 2 of us in our camper. No complaints from us other than the only drum I caught came before the tournament actually started. We came to have fun and catch fish, not win money. And by the way, you are in business to make money and I for one wouldn’t have a problem with your taking a portion of the entry fee to cover expenses. These tournaments take a great deal of effort by a very few people. You are to be commended for putting it on. We had a great time and are looking forward to next year.

Its funny you bring up that tournament a couple years ago! We were just talking about that other night and we still laugh at that! I know we all looked like we were in the Nascar race!! Haa~ What a HOOT!!
Another great memory!!

Default Drum Tourney

Bev and Terry,

This is my first post on the forum and I thought it was necessary to add to the thread about the success of the 2006 RD Tourney.

This was my first year fishing in your tournament and I, like a lot of others, had a GREAT time not catching fish for three days. I fully support the idea that as tournament organizers you guys get to keep some of the funding raised by the entry fees.

I was already planning on fishing in next year's tourney, so I hope you reconsider.

You have gained my complete support for the tournament, as well as a loyal customer for all of my future OC/AI fishing needs.

Lookin Beachie. Is that you Magee. If so glad you got a fish. Tough luck a 47 wasn't in the money. You were one of the few that caught that day under nice conditions and my guess is you were one of those up by the Bull Pen. I know you like it there. I couldn't buy a hit on Friday early AM when those 4 were caught.
