Default Fishing reports for September 13 to 19

Had some good reports of red drum last week and hoping the next few weeks will be as productive for the reds.

Get your feet in the sand, go fish and have fun.

Just got back from AI fishing with Sam and Skylar, and I am PISSED OFF. I ever catch anyone cutting the fins off of a shark, and I swear on all that is holy, their mothers will cry when they see what I have done. After a blowup and a few lost fish, I get a nice run and fish is on... sandtiger, no complaints there, until we notice his fins have been cut off. What was surprising is that he put up a good fight. and swam away. you can hear about the practice of finning and say "oh how horrible" but untill you see one of these majestic creatures mutilated like that you have no idea. but we already have a thread covering that topic.......except for that it was a great night.

Went out to the isle with Skylar (Steve) and Oliver tonight. It was much more pleasant than the past few night with a nice S/E breeze and no rain. A few skates and this bad boy around 1:30 this morning (48"). He was by far the most powerful fish I have fought. I guess that is why they call em Bull Reds.

Oliver, thanks again for taking the pic.

Good Stuff Sam! Congratulations!

As for the shark... I said to Sam as Oliver was bringing it in that the fins seemed like it was missing or something. This one was a survivor but the real question is for how much longer will it be able to keep catching its food and out maneuver it prey.

I agree with everything Oliver said.

Good Job, Sam You are sleeping now and I am sure you are dreaming of catching the next one. I guess it is time to go get some more bait. I'm proud of you.

Should have fed him before you sent him home. I guess the inshore sharks can hold up a little longer without pec fins.
