Default Sharking with Carrie!

Carrie invited me out one night in August to go sharking with her family. She fed everyone, showed them how to shark and created a floating fire! A good time and a great bunch of people!

Looks like a good time. What's a floating fire?

Great pics, Steve! Thanks. I'll make sure Carrie sees this (she doesn't read this forum too much) Can't understand why?

Carrie actually started the fire pit and it was low tide. As the fire grew and the tide switched, the water eventually surrounded the pit. Despite the walls of sand the tide took over and the burning logs started floating all over. Sam and I scooped the logs up on top of a mound of sand and ended Carrie's floating fire!

It was reminisent of the Phoenix from the ashes!

It was one of those CRAZY high tides. Usually, I laugh at people when they build a fire close to the suds at low tide, but this was different. haha

Oh No....

She didn't say how I thought she was digging a pit too far back did she and that she should dig closer to the water? She didn't bring that conversation up... did she?

Hey Steve, I guess in the future I should get your expert advise on where to dig a fire pit. (Then like a woman, I'll just do what I want anyway.) It was very flat where we were and the water came so far up. I won't mention whose tires where in the water. You and Sam got a lot of the water away from the fire with your ditch, but there was so much water the fire was still going out. I had a lot of fun that night. I don't look forward to it getting cold out, but I guess you just stay closer to the fire. We should go out one night before it gets too cold and make smores and hotdogs over the fire.

Since you're reading this post Carrie, I'll jack this thread for a minute.....We'll be out this weekend, I'll have my girlfriend and kids with me. somewhere in another thread I mentioned this to sam, but don't remember seeing a response to it :P (sorry dude, not dropping dimes on purpose, well yeah I am) Anyhow, it'd be cool to meet up with you three on the beach at some point. Maybe if Ciara met you she'd be more up for the idea of coming out to the events.....

Samantha and I will be at my mom's this weekend, but I know Samantha would have fun playing with the kids in the sand. (She is still a little scared of the water.)
