Default Fishing reports for September 6 - 12

What a crazy weekend for weather,,,not much going on in the surf zone due to the wind and rain last weekend,,,hopefully the fishing will pick up this week.

Get your feet in the sand, go fish and have fun.

Default AI 9/6

Fished the beach this afternoon. Caught a skate, one good knockdown, and a blue fish had several other blue fish hits.

Yea it does. Was hoping for more southeaterlies this weekend but I'll take light NE/E for the bugs. Fall is in the air so maybe big ole' drummies will be in the water. You know - the ones that are so old and ugly they have barnacles growing on their sides with remnants of rusted out hooks in their lips. She shall be called "Old Mossey Scales". Sorry guess I got to get a grip.

You've got a fever, and the only cure is...

I headed to the Southern end of Assateague tonight with Oliver for a little drum sniffin. It was an absolutely beautiful night with a slight ESE wind. It was a very bright moon, not too much wave action, no grass (on my lines ) and lots of sharks. Just as Oliver was about to leave, my largest Tica bent over! Fish ON!

46.5" & 25" girth. My first red drum.

Scott joined me later on and he was casting a country mile with those new rods!

Beautiful sunrise too.

Default Way to go Sam

I thought I would mention that your Dad says you wouldn't have caught that marvelous fish if you weren't wearing his lucky boots. Of course he takes credit for teaching you everything you know. (He is so proud as if he had caught it himself, which of course he hasn't done yet.) Way to go....

When you guys say "lots of sharks" are we talking the sandies? That is what I am assuming.

If the sandies are back the skates can't be far behind.
