Looks like a ling cod to me. I went out one time on the O.C.Princess and we loaded up on ling cod. If I were you I wouldn't release these fish! Although a bit on the small side they are some fine eating. Ling cod are usually more of a reddish brown color, other parts of the country they are called red hake I believe. Maybe we can't see the true color from that picture. |
