Default Not sure what kind of fish??

I have gotten 2 of these in the last week. I think it's some kind of Hake??

I believe it is called a ling. Pretty good eating. cool pic

Looks like a ling cod to me. I went out one time on the O.C.Princess and we loaded up on ling cod. If I were you I wouldn't release these fish! Although a bit on the small side they are some fine eating.





Ling cod are usually more of a reddish brown color, other parts of the country they are called red hake I believe. Maybe we can't see the true color from that picture.

I may fish for those sat night,,,of course I probably wont be able to keep little pieces of bait on a hook long enough to catch one,,,darn crabs!

It hit on bunker head and a #10 hook! Ya never know what will hit on AI
