If you don't have an OSV (on sand vehicle) and need a ride to the gathering spot (2 miles past the Bull Pen) make sure you get someone ahead of time.

Some of the guys have offered to give rides at certain times, but just in case, I would suggest you make plans with someone before you are standing in the sand looking south.

Things to consider:

• How many need a ride
• How much gear are you hauling
• Try to help out with gas prices if you can. Driving up and down the beach can be very expensive.
• Cell phones don't always get a good signal.
• What time do you plan on leaving?
• Make sure you have a Designated Driver

There are two parking lots at the far south end of the road. Make sure your ride knows which one you will be in.

I have an SUV and no rod rack so if you have a ton of bulky gear you may want another person to give you a ride. I haul a bunch of stuff and can fit it all in my truck though, just FYI.

It takes me a little more then 4 gals round trip to 2 mi past the bullpen, Sam wasn't kidding on gas.
